Pre-processing

De Graaff Kaas is processing naturally riped Dutch cheese. More of 90 % of all packaged products aren't allowed to have a rind. The rind, put up by us in the grading process, has to be removed again on the pre-processing department. Fortunately, this is no longer manual labor.

In the steps below we show how the pre-processing actually works. Each step is illustrated with a photograph of the activity. You can enlarge the photograph by clicking on it.

Step 1

The cheese is positioned in the degrinder.

Step 2

On rollers, the cheese is moved and degrinded.

Step 3

Both sided of the cheese are degrinded.

Step 4

A check afterwards remains manual labor to guarantee the high quality.
